Who are we helping?
Today 1 in 150 children are diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Autism affects 4 times more boys than girls.
Almost 1 in 94 boys has autism.
It is estimated that 1.5 million Americans have autism.
Autism is more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDs combined!
Autism is the fastest growing developmental disability in the US with a 10 - 17% annual growth.
Currently, the US has $90 billion annual costs relating to autism. That is expected to double within the next decade.
Cost of lifelong care can be reduced by 2/3 with early diagnosis and intervention.
Most insurance companies will not pay for therapies for children with autism. Families must pay for these therapies on their own. An intensive program can cost more than $60,000 a year.

Come on guys.. I have sent out 280 request to sponsor us in the walk if everyone donates just $10 we would have raised $2800 !!!! I know we can do it!!!

Project Lifesaver

Project Lifesaver® relies on proven radio technology and a specially trained search and rescue team. Clients that are enrolled in the Project Lifesaver® program wear a personalized wristband that emits a tracking signal. When caregivers notify the local Project Lifesaver® agency that the person is missing, a search and rescue team responds to the wanderer's area and starts searching with the mobile locate tracking system. Search times have been reduced from hours and days to minutes. In over 1800 searches, there have been no reported serious injuries or deaths. Recovery times average less than 30 minutes.

For local information about enrollment contact: Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office 1208 Golden Gate Drive Papillion, NE 68046 (402)593-2288 projectlifesaver@sarpy.com
